Tip of the month
If you are planning a winter road trip, consider checking your car for safety essentials. Check the spare tire air pressure- set to 35 psi (60-65 for space saver). Make sure you have the wheel lock key (if your wheels are secured with wheel locks). A flashlight, a blanket and gloves are good to have if you get stranded in foul weather. Check your tire pressures and if one tire is low, check for a nail in the treads. Check oil and coolant levels and top up as needed. A spare quart of oil and coolant is a good idea. Take your 12V cel phone charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter.
Road trips can be lots of fun but your day can be quickly ruined if you are not prepared.
